Pedestrian crossing in Dordrecht, De staart, Merwedestraat.
Visiting Aldi and Jumbo (grocery), secondhand store, bus stop, postbox, and olibollenkraam. Or going back home after visiting one of the above.
Both for pedestrians and cyclists. The crossing is split in two and both parts have their own traffic lights.

Particularities:

Less people crossing with red lights then I expected.

I'm crossing here almost every day and in my head it always was a pedestrian crossing with stripes.... but turns out... it's not. That was a weird discovery today.
I will find a pedestrian crossing with stripes for tomorrows observation.

After this observation I crossed myself to do some grocery shopping, and I noticed the pedestrian crossings on the parking lane in front of the supermarkets. But I'm not sure how they work because of the interruptions.

Pedestrian crossing in Dordrecht, Krispijn, Krispijnseweg.
Going to the Jumbo (grocery), the bus stop, or going back into the area.

Pedestrian crossing is split in two sections. There is a traffic bumb in front of the cross way, No traffic lights, but a lot of signs.

All men crossing in these twenty minutes are going into the area, and all women crossing in these twenty minutes are going to the Jumbo.

Three of the women that crossed is the same woman, she crossed this pedestrian crossing 3 times in less then ten minutes.

Women is crossing the road 4 meters beside the crosswalk. She's not getting any priority frm the motorists.

First 15 minutes where no crossings at all.

Crossing the busy road in the middle of the city centrum. Most people are shopping.

Large pedestrian crossing. No traffic lights.

There was one man who hesitated with crossing. And there where two cars who ignored the pedestrians.

There is only one sign telling motorists about the pedestrian crossing, and that sign is only on one side.

Most cars drive harder then is allowed.

MAPPING

Based on the observation three, left from here, I made this mapping below.
The bars of the crosswalk represent a person that crosses the crosswalk. But not everyone is using the crosswalk during observation three. The ninth person that is crossing crosses four meter besides the bars, and you can clearly see that motorists are not thinking about giving her priority. backwards: she is not expecting it eater.
