Feedback + suggesties van Yin Yin + onze brainstorm

- Menselijk zebrapad
(Een onzichtbaar zebrapad gemaakt door een groep mensen die oversteken/social pressure?)
Ze zei ook dat dit kinda gevaarlijk was.

-Zebrapaden observeren

-Stappen bijhouden

-Een groep beïnvloeden om ook over te steken.

-Hoe gedragen mensen zich op een zebrapad, hoe staan ze, raken ze de knop aan, zitten ze op hun mobiel?

-Verschillende formaten zebrapaden observeren, klein, gemiddeld, groot.

-Verschillende tijden, tijdens de spits, buiten de spits.

-Grote zebrapad bij Rotterdam CS, kijken hoe mensen zich daar gedragen of dat ze het zebrapad gewoon neger.

-De functie van het regenboog zebrapad is anders dan een standaard zebrapad. (Die in Utrecht, door de toeristen)

- Bijvoorbeeld een logboek bijhouden, een timelapse, in ieder geval een goed onderzoek.

-Misschien een eigen zebrapad maken

Crosswalks:

Carolina: Loved the last pictures! Maybe try to find one way of implememnting all osservations or just focus on one aspect you find interesting about the crossing roads...
Casey: Fun place! Interesting choice. Like the different ways of mapping.
Daphne: Nice to see all the different aproaches to an 'object' that one uses everyday, without giving any thought to it.
Koen: The black&white images represent the subject nicely, they create a uniformity in mapping. Individually though, they dont tell the whole story and really rely on the spoken explanation. Leon's mapping of streetcrossing is visually pleasing!
Meliange: The visuals Leon made (isolations of the people) I really enjoyed, it shows interesting and abstract pictures that would be interesting for futher mapping.
Suelae: I agree with meliange
Sharan: I like leons observations about hierarchy in traffic and the role of the different participants and graphics. the group mapping you did looks interesting but its not quite clear for me what data you collected and
George: I think with a concentration on one aspect, the project could become more indepth and self-explanatory. Also makes me think of how bikes don't really respect pedestrian priority and don't feel the need to stop, i wonder why this is? What I really find interesting about crosswalks is the way people behave while waiting: I don't go over red lights when there are kids nearby, however if i see someone else going over red, i'm more inclined to do so.

yinyin: the group behaviour is interesting; who goes first? how do people influence eachtother? what kind of roles do people have? I miss the social aspect within you observations; what do you observations actually say about the people and the space they behave in.
The visualisation of the group mapping misses some clear visualisation of data you collected. It looks like an infographic but doesn't give me useful information. Illustrate it so its easier to read visually and than we can connect those visuals to social observations and conclusions you made.
Use the information whitin the image to illustrate smart; so not only small text to describe something but the height/width/frequency of graphics.

Also: divide tasks smarter; you choose one space to observe and divide the ways in which you can observe that space in four things you can log about the space, for example: behaviour, demographics, space design and sounds. Or let two people do field research and two theoretical research.

Gabriel: did you observe some specific patterns? How does the social context show in what you observe; maintanance, typical dutch behaviour or context? Reflect on the context of the space. Look at the history of the crossroad; when did it appear? why? how is it designed and why in this way? look at street signs that surround it as well. What design decicions were being made?
Useful elements come in to play like specific bodies and abilities, do sounds and design affect the speed and behaviour of a body? What is the relation between a crossroad (placement) and the whole design of the area. Look at how streets and public spaces are designed as well. So look at history, social context and city design.
